Rachel Barros

Born in Brazil, Rachel has a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology (Pre-Med) from NCSU. Rachel used to help her mom (a single mom) babysitting and cleaning residential homes while going to school. Seeing that she enjoyed it so much, and helping her mom was very important, they both decided to open a cleaning company.  While in college, Rachel handled the business as much as she could, until she graduated and was able to focus 100% on the business. Still going strong, but always striving for new opportunities, Rachel has become a real estate broker, she freelances in the tv sports world, she fully manages family owned rental property and she is a freelancer Portuguese/English translator.
 

Maria Barros

Born in Brazil, Maria has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences and Education. She became a pre-school teacher in Brazil, but later worked in the corporate world as a company president's assistant to various companies such as Booz & Allen & Hamilton, and Rockwell. Maria is also a freelance Portuguese/English translator. In search of a safer and better living conditions for her two kids, Maria came to the USA with her kids in 1992. She had lived in the US before, but with her husband and kids. Maria cleaned residential houses, babysat, and whatever else she could do to support her kids. In 1996, Maria and her daughter Rachel, started a cleaning service and worked in any capacity possible to make a living. From cleaning, to picking up grounds,
to wallpapering, to cleaning carpet, to washing dishes. The both did it all. Today, she can proudly say she owns a very successful business, but like Rachel, she is also always striving for new opportunities.

Marcelo Barros

Born in Raleigh, NC, Marcelo has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from NCSU. Marcelo used to help his sister and mom, babysitting, cleaning residential homes and offices while going to school. Also while attending NCSU, Marcelo was an intern at both Nortel and Cisco Systems. Cisco was so impressed with Marcelo’s professionalism and dedication, they hired him full-time as a network consulting engineer. While with Cisco, Marcelo still provided some general assistance to the family business. After 15 years with Cisco, Marcelo decided to transition to helping the family business expand. Marcelo also manages family owned rental property and he is a freelancer Portuguese/English translator.
